HARRISBURG – As President Barack Obama heads to the Keystone State to make his latest government-run health care pitch, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason is calling on Congressman Jason Altmire to stand up and voice his strong opposition to a plan that no one wants.
“The time has come for Congressman Jason Altmire to decide who he’s truly answerable to: President Barack Obama or his constituents,” Gleason said. “The President continues his attempt to push government-run health care onto the American people and is trying to get legislators with liberal leanings like Jason Altmire to support a bill that would raise taxes, kill jobs and drive a government-sized wedge between patients and their doctors.
“Now, Congressman Altmire has an opportunity to let the people of the 4th Congressional District know exactly where he stands on the issue of government-run health care.
“I call on Congressman Jason Altmire to oppose any plans for implementing government-run health care in this country, and assure him that his constituents will be eagerly anticipating his decision.”
