HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding news that Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called a meeting of all female Democratic Congressional members this morning.

“Speaker Pelosi got Congresswoman Dahlkemper to stand with her the last time the House passed their government-run health care bill, and it looks like the Speaker thinks she can get Dahlkemper to follow her again,” Gleason said. “It’s no coincidence that Democrat leaders try to force Representatives such as Kathy Dahlkemper into closed door meetings that shields them from the voice of their constituents.

“Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper has clear choice: join with Speaker Pelosi and her extreme liberal agenda and cheap political tactics, or stand with her constituents in opposing government-run health care.”
