HARRISBURG – Congressman Patrick Murphy’s decision to support government-run health care was the focus of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania’s latest stop on the PelosiCare Accountability Tour today.
“Congressman Patrick Murphy has made it abundantly clear that he’s more concerned with pandering to Nancy Pelosi than standing up for the people of the 8th Congressional District,” said Republican Party of Pennsylvania Executive Director Luke Bernstein. “From his support of the nearly $1 trillion stimulus package to his role in making government-run health care the law of the land, Congressman Patrick Murphy’s career plays out like a game of follow the leader.
“At a time when Democrats are engaging in dealings like the ‘Louisiana Purchase’ and ‘Cornhusker Kickback,’ one has to wonder if Patrick Murphy’s recent recomendation to a coveted Committee slot was secured in a similar, backroom fashion?”
