PA GOP Stands United Behind Statewide Nominees At Summer Meeting

HARRISBURG — The Republican Party of Pennsylvania stands united in its support for U.S. Senate candidate Pat Toomey, gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett, and Lieutenant Governor candidate Jim Cawley during its annual Summer Meeting today at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center.

“Today, the Republican Party of Pennsylvania reaffirmed its strong commitment to electing Pat Toomey to the U.S. Senate and Tom Corbett and Jim Cawley as the next Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania,” Gleason said. “At a time when Democrats in Washington D.C. and in Harrisburg are engaging in out-of-control spending on the taxpayers’ dime, our Party is proud to stand behind strong candidates who will bring their shared commitment to reducing spending, limiting government and restoring fiscal responsibility.

“This also marked the first meeting for many of our new members. I’ve always said that the Republican Party of Pennsylvania has the strongest grassroots network in the Commonwealth, and I’m happy to welcome our new members to the state Republican team.

“Together, we are ready to get to work together to send a message to big government and big spending Democrats in Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg that Pennsylvania taxpayers have had enough!”
