HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania spokesman Mike Barley released the following statement regarding what the PA GOP’s efforts to promote 7^th District Congressional Democrat candidate Bryan Lentz’s “Liberals for Lentz” event featuring extreme liberal Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

“The PA GOP is eager to help promote the Lentz campaign’s upcoming fundraiser with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, an event we are calling ‘Liberals for Lentz’,” Barley said.  “Recently, the Lentz campaign announced their first ever ‘Laughs for Lentz’ event, however after hearing about Bryan Lentz’s fundraiser with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Pennsylvanians in the 7^th Congressional District are preparing for a horror story, not comedy.  After all, this certainly means that if elected, Bryan Lentz will support Nancy Pelosi and her liberal agenda.

“The ‘Liberals for Lentz’ event is sure to raise buckets of cash from special-interest lobbyists, big government advocates and people who support the reckless, out-of-control spending that has driven our nation further into debt.  The Congressional Budget Office predicts that the national debt will reach 62% of the gross domestic product by the end of 2010 and that is a direct result of the extreme liberal policies pushed by Nancy Pelosi and endorsed by Bryan Lentz.”

According to PA2010.com, the Lentz for Congress campaign is hosting a fundraiser with two of the nation’s biggest liberal figures, Vice President Joe Biden and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on July 19^th.  This is an event the PA GOP is appropriately referring to as “Liberals for Lentz.”
