PA GOP: John Callahan Turns To Bill Clinton To Help Struggling Congressional Campaign

HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Spokesman Mike Barley released the following statement regarding 15th Congressional District Democrat candidate John Callahan’s upcoming fundraiser with former President Bill Clinton.

“We haven’t even reached Labor Day, but apparently John Callahan’s campaign is already entering desperation mode,” Barley said. “While his campaign for Congress struggles to take off, it appears that Callahan is now turning to the Democratic establishment to bail out his floundering campaign once again.

“What Callahan fails to realize however, is that the people of the 15th Congressional District want solutions, not surrogates. While Callahan works hard to curry favor with Bill Clinton and accept money from Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Dent is working hard to grow our economy and fight against the type of big government policies that Clinton, Pelosi and Callahan support.

“With John Callahan turning to the Democratic establishment for a campaign bailout, we are left to wonder which ‘tax-and-spend’ liberal will be next.”

In addition to holding a fundraiser with former President Bill Clinton, John Callahan has also received $14,000 in campaign contributions from Nancy Pelosi. (http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/can_give/H0PA15101)
