PA GOP: Not So Happy Labor Day Holiday For The Growing Number Of Unemployed

HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the latest national unemployment numbers:

“Unfortunately, with unemployment rising to 9.6% and another 54,000 Americans out of work as a result of the Democrat’s big-government agenda, many will not be experiencing a happy Labor Day this year,” Gleason said.  “It is a shame that so many hardworking Americans have been forced to trade the long Labor Day weekend vacation for a permanent vacation from the jobs that used to provide their families with the means to live and prosper.  So much for the ‘Recovery Summer’ that President Obama and the Democrats promised the American people.

“One thing is for certain, the Democrats must be concerned about the unemployed, why else would they have worked so hard over the last twenty months to create so many more of them.”
