PA GOP: Bucks County Absentee Ballot Scandal Linked To Patrick Murphy Campaign
HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Spokesman Mike Barley released the following statement regarding the recent deceptive mailer that was sent out by the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee and its ties to the Patrick Murphy for Congress Campaign.  (Click here to read the Democratic Party of Pennsylvania’s absentee ballot mailer.)

“The Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee’s Bucks County absentee ballot mailer is deceptive, confusing and fraudulent and now we have additional proof that this scheme was orchestrated by Patrick Murphy’s campaign,” Barley said.  “Why else would Patrick Murphy’s campaign manager Tim Persico be listed as one of the two people cleared to pick up absentee ballot requests at the Post Office Box belonging to the fictitious Pennsylvania Voter Assistance Office?  This is clearly a scheme developed to benefit the Murphy campaign and it’s time for Patrick Murphy to come clean about his involvement in this matter immediately.”  (Click here to see the photo of the P.O. Box taken yesterday with a note and Tim Persico’s name on it.)

Additionally, a group of concerned voters in Bucks County submitted a complaint to the Board of Elections in Bucks County regarding this troubling letter and the scores of rejected absentee ballot requests.  (Click here to view the petition.)

“In the petition, you will find references to affidavits from Bucks County voters who were the victims of election fraud perpetrated by operatives for the Democratic Party and Patrick Murphy’s campaign in a desperate attempt to save Congressman Murphy’s job.  This was a disturbing attempt to deceive and manipulate voters to

influence the outcome of an election. The voters need to be made aware of the Murphy Campaign’s deceptive activities.”
