HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding 3rd District Democrat Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper’s campaign event with former President Bill Clinton.
“Kathy Dahlkemper can choose to campaign with officials all she wants, but nothing’s going to change the fact that she turned her back on her constituents by voting for the stimulus and government-run health care bills,” Gleason said. “In her two years in Congress, Kathy Dahlkemper has become nothing but a rubberstamp for an Obama-Pelosi agenda that has raised our taxes, cost us jobs and drastically increased the size of our national debt.
“One political rally is not going to bring back the thousands of jobs that have been lost since Kathy Dahlkemper supported the stimulus bill. One photo-op with former President Clinton isn’t going to change the fact that Kathy Dahlkemper played a key role in imposing government-run health care onto the American people, and one last-ditch campaign event isn’t going to change the fact that voters are going to fire her this Tuesday!”
According to The Washington Post, Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper has voted with Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi nearly 94% of the time.
