HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding tonight’s first U.S. Senate debate:
“Pat Toomey proved tonight that he is committed to bring fiscal security to Washington, D.C. and that he has the right vision for Pennsylvania and our nation,” Gleason said. “While Pat Toomey answered each question in a thoughtful and forthright manner, Joe Sestak tried to hide his true extreme liberal stripes at every turn.
“Joe Sestak has helped to advance the most extreme agenda in our nation’s history. Joe Sestak voted for the bailouts, the failed stimulus, ObamaCare and the energy tax known as cap-and-trade. His only objection to all of these big government solutions is that they weren’t large enough or didn’t go far enough! Joe Sestak’s positions are clearly out-of-touch with hardworking Pennsylvanians.”
