Gubernatorial Race Update

Republican candidate Tom Corbett continues to hold a strong lead in the race for governor against Democrat Dan Onorato. In the latest poll, Corbett is surging ahead with a 15-point lead over Onorato. Yesterday, Corbett and Onorato debated key economic issues during a forum sponsored by the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and televised on PCN. Corbett won the debate handily, and proved once again why he is the right choice for Governor.

U.S. Senate Race Update

U.S. Senate candidate Pat Toomey has maintained his dominant lead over Democrat candidate Joe Sestak, with a Quinnipiac University poll showing Toomey leading Sestak by a margin of 50%-43%. This week, Toomey was scheduled to debate Sestak under the moderation of Ted Koppel on PCN, however, Sestak chose to attend a fundraiser with Massachusetts Senator John Kerry instead of discussing vital government reform issues. Toomey also received the endorsement of former Harrisburg Mayor and Democrat Stephen Reed, who called the Republican Senate nominee “exactly the kind of candidate that Democrats, Republicans, and Independents can rally around.”
