Boehner to host Hill summit with new Republican governors

Incoming House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will host a summit at the Capitol this week with incoming Republican governors, his office said Monday.

Boehner will host 15 GOP governors-elect on Wednesday in a summit meeting expected to feature Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and other Republican lawmakers…

Expected participants include Govs.-elect Robert Bentley (Ala.), Rick Scott (Fla.), Terry Branstad (Iowa), Sam Brownback (Kan.), Paul LePage (Maine), Rick Snyder (Mich.), Brian Sandoval (Nev.), Susana Martinez (N.M.), John Kasich (Ohio), Mary Fallin (Okla.), Tom Corbett (Pa.), Nikki Haley (S.C.), Dennis Daugaard (S.D.), Bill Haslam (Tenn.) and Matt Mead (Wyo.).
