Congressman-elect Kelly plans to decline government-paid health coverage

Congressman-elect Mike Kelly was among the Republicans who blasted the Democrats’ health-care law leading up to the midterm elections.
Now many of those Republicans face pressure to decline government-provided health coverage when they take office — and Kelly said today he plans to do just that.
Both Kelly and fellow GOP Congressman-elect Bobby Schilling, of Illinois, have pledged to refuse health care coverage through the Federal Employees Health Benefit Plan when they take office in January.
