HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the special election in the 11th State Senatorial District in Berks County:

“I commend Larry Medaglia for running a vigorous campaign that brought messages like fiscal responsibility and government reform to voters all over the district,” Chairman Gleason said. “From Exeter to Kutztown and Reading to Hereford, Larry fought for those in Berks County who want lower property taxes and decreased government spending. I know that Larry will continue to be a strong advocate and voice for taxpayers throughout Berks County.

“I would like to congratulate Judy Schwank on her victory tonight and I urge her to listen to voters’ call for fiscal discipline and responsible government during her new tenure a member of the Pennsylvania Senate.”
