PA GOP: Senator Casey Again Casts Vote For More Spending, More Debt

HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding Democrat Senator Bob Casey’s vote against a Sense of the Senate Amendment (Senate Amendment 115) to the Patent Reform Act of 2011 (S.23) which advocates for a Constitutional amendment to require our Federal government to balance the budget.

“Pennsylvanians have been loud and clear in demanding their elected representatives to cut spending and enact meaningful fiscal reform, but Senator Bob Casey still hasn’t gotten the message,” Gleason said.

“By voting against a balanced budget and fiscal responsibility, it is evident that Senator Bob Casey is more interested in putting a rubber stamp of approval on the Obama Administration’s spending-spree instead of working on new ideas to solve our country’s financial problems.

“It’s more clear than ever that our country needs leaders like Republican Senator Pat Toomey who will step up and work to reform government and reign in federal spending. Senator Casey continues to prove how out of touch he is with working Pennsylvanians.”
