Gov. Corbett orders flags at half-staff for Lancaster soldier

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -Gov. Tom Corbett today ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Lancaster and Philadelphia counties to be flown at half-staff on Wednesday in honor of U.S. Army Lt. Demetrius Frison.

Lt. Frison, 26, was killed in action in Afghanistan on May 10 when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.

Frison grew up in Philadelphia and moved to Lancaster after attending college at Millersville University.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Knox, Kentucky.

His funeral is being held today in southeastern Pennsylvania.
