Pennsylvania Senate unanimously passes bill to step up accountability on state vehicle usage

Spotting a state vehicle could get a lot easier under legislation that unanimously passed the state Senate on Monday.

The license plate would tell it all.

The measure, which now goes to the state House for consideration, requires “official use” license plates to be placed on most state vehicles. It also mandates employees to keep and report detailed mileage logs when using state vehicles or their own cars on state business.
