Anne B. Anstine Excellence in Public Service Series celebrates its 10^th year

HARRISBURG, PA – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement congratulating the Anne B. Anstine Excellence in Public Service Series for celebrating its 10^th year in recruiting and training Republican women for public office:

“After 10 years and hundreds of graduates, the Anne B. Anstine Series has made a tremendous impact on the Republican Party in Pennsylvania by identifying and training dynamic and principled women to get more involved in the political process and at all levels of government. Just take a look at our state legislature, where Republicans are in the majority of women currently elected in the State Senate and House. Upon celebrating its 10^th year, I offer sincere congratulations to the Anstine Series and its founder – our National Committeewoman Christine Toretti – for continuing to empower Republican women to run for public office,” Chairman Rob Gleason said.

Founded in 2001 by Republican Party of Pennsylvania National Committeewoman Christine J. Toretti, the Anne B. Anstine Excellence in Public Service Series is the premier leadership and training program for Republican women in Pennsylvania. The Anstine Series prepares women to be more effective leaders in government, politics, and in the community through a rigorous one-year curriculum.  Participants each have a goal to increase their level of involvement in public life as party leaders, elected or appointed officials, as grassroots activists, and/or as community leaders.  Anstine graduates are leaders in all facets of the political world. Prior to the 2011 cycle, Anstine graduates had run 58 primary and general elections winning 51 of those races.  In the 2011 cycle, seventeen Anstine women will have their names on the ballot.
