PA GOP: The Ball Is Now In President Obama’s and Senator Bob Casey’s Court

Harrisburg, PA – Today, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement after Speaker Boehner and House Republicans passed yet another solution to the debt crisis:

“The ball is now in President Obama and Senator Casey’s court.  Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Bob Casey are all that stands between the American people and a responsible resolution to this debt crisis,” Chairman Rob Gleason said.  “The House has now passed two reasonable and responsible bills that would cut spending and bring an end to this crisis without putting our great nation’s economy at risk.”

“Rather than insisting on a plan that is more convenient for his re-election plan, Barack Obama should end this crisis by signing the House passed legislation to prevent a job-destroying default. Americans cannot afford the inaction of President Obama and Senator Casey any longer.  It is time for them to step up to the plate and lead, as they have often promised to do,” continued Chairman Gleason.
