RNC launches ‘Ottack2012.com’ to track Obama campaign’s attacks

The Daily Caller

The Republican National Committee on Tuesday launched Ottack2012.com, a website aimed at tracking and countering negative campaign comments and ads from President Barack Obama as he attempts to get re-elected.

The website prominently displays a quote from Time magazine’s Mark Halperin, predicting that ”Obama’s campaign and allies will run more negative ads against this Republican nominee in 2012 than have ever been run in the history of the world.”

To accompany the website, the RNC released a video quoting Obama from before he was president, saying, “If you can’t beat your opponent’s ideas, you distort those ideas and maybe make some up. If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run away from.”

“Obama doesn’t have a record to run on so he will tear his Republican opponent down at every opportunity to try to cover up his failed leadership on jobs,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement. “But, the American people will see through this typical politician’s attacks for what they are – desperate acts to protect his own job.”
