Casey fought hard for ObamaCare but will not fight hard to repeal the preventative services mandate

Paloi, PA — With the liberal Sen. Bob Casey fully backing and voting for ObamaCare, it should come as no surprise that he continues to remain in lock-step with Obama and refuses to co-sponsor bipartisan legislation that would repeal the preventative services mandate.

When Casey rubberstamped ObamaCare through the Senate, he ignored Pennsylvanians’ wishes and passed a law with skyrocketing costs that is riddled with onerous federal mandates and sweeping increases in the size and scope of the federal government.

Casey not only rubberstamped ObamaCare through Congress, but he also said on Dec. 7, 2009 “… I want to get health-care legislation passed. No one in the Senate has worked harder than I have to get this done.”

Now as the Obama administration implements ObamaCare, which includes the preventative services mandate, Pennsylvanians are calling for the repeal of a mandate that threatens religious liberties and forces religious institutions to violate the tenets of their faith.

Instead of listening to his constituents and pushing for a full repeal, what does Bob Casey do? He falls right back in line with Obama, just as he did when he passed ObamaCare.

Bob Casey worked hard to get ObamaCare rammed through Congress and he is refusing to work to repeal this dangerous overreach of federal power repealed. Instead of supporting bipartisan legislation that would fully repeal the preventative services mandate, Bob Casey is falling right in-step with the Obama-Reid agenda, just as he did in 2009.

“It’s time for Bob Casey to put aside party labels, break ranks from the Obama agenda and co-sponsor bipartisan legislation that will fully repeal the preventative services mandate and put a definitive end to this destructive measure,” said Republican endorsed Senate candidate Steve Welch. “Only a full-out repeal of the preventative services mandate will preserve our guaranteed religious and individual liberties.”
