Cumberland County Republican Committee Endorses Candidates for 2012 Primary Election

Members of the Cumberland County Republican Committee gathered at the New Kingstown Fire Company in New Kingstown, PA to discuss and determine if indeed the CCRC would endorse candidates for the 2012 Primary Election.

The CCRC did vote to endorse candidates for the 2012 Primary Election.

The CCRC voted to endorse candidates for the following state wide races: US Senate, PA Attorney General, PA Auditor General, and PA Treasurer.

The CCRC has endorsed Steve Welch for US Senate, David Freed for PA Attorney General, John Maher for PA Auditor General and Diana Irey Vaughan for PA Treasurer.

The CCRC also endorsed candidates for US Congressional Races. After Congressional redistricting, Congressman Lou Barletta (PA-11) will now represent a great portion of residents in Cumberland County. Those residents not represented by Congressman Barletta, will be represented by a new Congressman in the new 4th Congressional District after the decision by Congressman Todd Platts (PA-19) to not seek reelection in 2012.

The CCRC voted to endorse candidates for both the 11th and 4th Congressional Districts. The CCRC has endorsed Congressman Lou Barletta for the PA-11 and current State Representative Scott Perry (92nd) for the PA-4th.

On a more local level, the CCRC did vote to endorse in the 31st Senatorial District as well in the 87th, 88th, 89th, 92nd and 199th House Districts. The CCRC has endorsed Sen. Patricia Vance for the 31st Senatorial District. The CCRC has also endorsed Rep. Glen Grell for the 87th District, Rep. Sheryl Delozier for the 88th District, Rep. Rob Kauffman for the 89th District, York County native, Scott Derr for the 92nd District and Rep. Stephen Bloom for the 199th District.
