HARRISBURG — In honor of Constitution Day, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement.
“Today, our nation celebrates the 227th birthday of the greatest legal document in the history of the world,” Gleason said. “Our Constitution stands as a safeguard for freedom in our country and a beacon of hope for nations throughout the world. Unfortunately, President Obama has repeatedly tried to flout our Constitution in order to impose his extreme liberal agenda onto the American people.
“At a time when President Obama has chosen to rule with a phone and a pen, and when conservative groups are being targeted by members of a presidential administration, it is now more important than ever to stand up for the principles articulated in our Constitution. The Republican Party of Pennsylvania looks forward to speaking out on behalf of our Constitution, so that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy the freedoms set forth in the document that has helped inspire the world.”
