Tom Wolf’s Budget To Leave Families With Low Self-Esteem… And Less Money

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding Governor Tom Wolf’s proposed FY 2015-16 Budget.

“Governor Tom Wolf’s budget proposal will wreck the family budget of millions of Pennsylvanians,” Gleason said. “Governor Wolf spent his entire campaign hiding the details of his plan to raise taxes, and now we can see why. From his 10% hike in the sales tax to raising the income tax by more than 20%, Tom Wolf is making Pennsylvania families shoulder the burden of his liberal campaign promises.

“While Governor Wolf is focused on taking money out of family budgets, Republicans are looking to provide much-needed relief to taxpayers. At a time when our Commonwealth is facing a $50 billion state pension crisis, Republicans are leading the debate towards meaningful state pension reform.

“Governor Tom Wolf’s budget proposal is focused on growing our government instead of our economy. It’s time for Governor Wolf to recognize the massive burden his proposed tax hikes would have on Pennsylvania families.”
