HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the passing of former U.S. Senator Richard Schweiker.
“Former Senator Dick Schweiker was a dedicated public servant who always stood up for what he believed was right,” Gleason said. “Throughout his time in the House, Senate, and later the Department of Health and Human Services, Dick Schweiker served as an independent mind who put the needs of the Commonwealth and the country first.
“The thoughts and prayers of the entire Republican Party of Pennsylvania are with his loved ones at this time.”
