Oops! Democrat Leader Claims There Are No Women From Western PA In General Assembly

HARRISBURG — Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Megan Sweeney was surprised to hear Allegheny County Democratic Committee Chair Nancy Patton Mills claim, “We have no women in our legislature from the western part of the state” when discussing the 37th State Senate District Special Election.

“When it comes to electing female leaders to the State Senate and House in Western Pennsylvania, Republicans are leading the way,” Sweeney said. “State Senators Kim Ward, Michele Brooks and Camera Barlotta and State Representatives Donna Oberlander, Kathy Rapp and Judy Ward are outstanding leaders who are standing up for the commonsense principles of individual freedom and economic opportunity in Harrisburg. That is why they are excited to add Guy Reschenthaler who shares those values to the State Senate on November 3rd. Perhaps it’s time for Democrats to stop focusing on divisive rhetoric and start focusing on the facts.”
