McGinty Is Lying About Lobbying

HARRISBURG – Katie McGinty won’t stop lying about her insider past.

Despite documentation which clearly shows she was registered as a D.C. lobbyist, Katie McGinty continues to lie to media outlets across Pennsylvania.

“If Katie McGinty refuses to come clean about her past, how can Pennsylvanians trust her with our future?” Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Megan Sweeney asked. “Katie McGinty’s past is littered with ethical problems and trips through the revolving door between the government work and personal profit. Now, Katie McGinty is repeatedly lying to voters about her past as a D.C. lobbyist. Katie McGinty’s comfort with blatantly lying to the voters should be a cause of deep concern for all Pennsylvanians.”

Last Year: Katie McGinty Doesn’t Deny Reports About Her Lobbyist Past

In August, McGinty Didn’t Dispute Reports Of Her Lobbyist Past. “McGinty, as you would expect of a former enviro policy appointee, is also a former industry lobbyist. In 2000, she lobbied the Clinton EPA on behalf of drugmaker Glaxo Wellcome. Glaxo made CFC-powered inhalers, and was lobbying on the EPA on its regulations controlling CFCs, according to a lobbying filing.” (Timothy P. Carney, “Revolving-door drug lobbyist enters Pa. Senate race,” The Washington Examiner, 8/12/2015)
