HARRISBURG – Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement today in honor of Memorial Day.
“Today, our nation unites to honor the brave men and women who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great country,” Gleason said. “Memorial Day serves as an important reminder that the freedom and liberty we enjoy as Americans is not free. It is our duty to honor and respect those men and women who have given everything so we could have opportunity to live and enjoy the best nation in the history of the world, as well as their families.
“Memorial Day also provides us with the chance to recognize our Party’s many veterans, including Congressmen Joe Pitts, Tim Murphy and Scott Perry, and our veterans in the state Senate and state House who have dedicated their lives to public service. As a veteran of the Air Force, I am amazed at the bravery and accomplishments of the members of our military and their families.
“On behalf of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, and as a veteran, I want to wish all Americans a safe and happy Memorial Day.”
