It has been reported this week that failed 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, and her associated political action committee will be inserting herself into Pennsylvania’s Congressional races by backing and financing a number of Democrats.
So far, the PAC Onward Together, has financially supported PA-01 Democrat nominee Scott Wallace, PA-05 Democrat nominee Mary Scanlon, and PA-07 Democrat nominee Susan Wild.
In response, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Jason Gottesman, made the following statement:
“Hillary Clinton’s world view was so out of whack with Pennsylvania’s values in 2016 that many Democrats would not vote for her then and she now continues to alienate moderate voters almost two years after her failed Presidential bid.
“Hillary Clinton’s support of some of the most liberal-progressive Democrat nominees, some of whom have strong ties to socialists, only shows how out of touch each of these nominees is—especially when compared to the reasonable views of their Republican opponents.
“Her further insertion into Pennsylvania elections, including the potential for her to be involved with supporting Bob Casey—who said in 2016 he was ‘proud’ to endorse Hillary Clinton—will show just how out of touch Pennsylvania Democrats are.”
