Liberal dark money funneling into Pennsylvania campaigns

Shadowy dark money political action committees run by progressive interests are hard at work in Pennsylvania, funding socialist-obstructionist Democrats seeking to take on moderate Republicans in southeastern Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh suburbs.

Without filing campaign finance reports or identifying the source of their money, organizations like the PA Fund for Change and the PA Leadership Committee label Pennsylvania Republicans as “too extreme” or “out of the mainstream” as they try to insert candidates in the Pennsylvania General Assembly that seek to: raise taxes, end Medicare as we know by implementing a government-run single-payer health care system, and insert government into the lives of Pennsylvania families in a manner inconceivable by our founding principles.

In response, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Communications Director Jason Gottesman, made the following statement:

“Democrats that lean toward socialism and are bent on obstructing pro-growth, pro-taxpayer work being done in both Harrisburg and Washington know they can’t win on the merits, so they are doing everything they can to try and smear responsible Republicans and buy their way into the halls of our legislative bodies.

“Despite their attempted best efforts, Pennsylvanians truly know who will work on their behalf and will eschew candidates that seek to drastically expand the size and scope of government at the expense of hardworking taxpayers and Pennsylvania families.”
