PA GOP Chairman’s Update – March 24, 2019

Dear supporters, friends, and those interested in the Republican Party of Pennsylvania:

As we continue to work toward the May 21st primary election and the dates for Special Elections, we had another meeting of conferees. This one was to select a nominee in the special election for Pennsylvania’s 41st Senatorial District.

By unanimous acclamation, the conferees from Butler, Indiana, Armstrong, and Westmoreland counties nominated Joe Pittman to run in the election to replace Sen. Don White, who retired earlier this year.

While we work to help Joe get elected on May 21st, we are also working to put together a strong volunteer effort to help Raja win in the 37th Senatorial District special election, scheduled for April 2nd.

If you haven’t signed up yet, we are putting together a list of volunteers willing to head out to the Pittsburgh area on April 2nd for the final push to help get Raja elected to the state Senate and keep this seat red!

You can sign up to volunteer HERE.

This was also a great week for our-endorsed Superior Court candidates Cumberland County Judge Christylee Peck and Chester County Deputy District Attorney Megan McCarthy King who received their first round of endorsements from our Republican Congressional delegationalong with other groups, and traveled the Commonwealth holding and attending events in support of their candidacies.

I’d also like to share some great news about our President.

A true defender of free speech and conservative principles, President Trump this week signed an Executive Order protecting free speech on college campuses.

After decades of conservative viewpoints being drowned out by liberal academics, the President is stepping up to protect our values on college campuses.

You can find out more about the order and get talking points from the White House HERE.

I am proud to stand with our President against liberal indoctrination and the silencing of conservative voices anywhere.

As I told the Philadelphia Inquirer this week, “I’ll take Donald Trump’s pro-freedom, pro-growth, pro-jobs agenda over what Democrats are dishing out every day.”

Until my next update, feel free to keep up with the latest by checking out the PA GOP website at www.pagop.org.
