GERRY WOSEWICK TO SERVE AS PAGOP EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Harrisburg, PA – PAGOP chairman Lawrence Tabas today announced Gerry Wosewick as his pick for executive director of the state party.

“Gerry is a charactered, honest man who works hard, is very good at what he does and is respected by all,” said Tabas. “He has been a tremendous grassroots coalition builder, he’s an expert fundraiser, and has developed critical rapport with congressional and legislative leaders. Gerry will help bring unity to our party and serve our members and candidates well.”

Wosewick served as the Pennsylvania State Party’s finance director until 2017, when he was tapped to serve as the political director for the Maryland Republican Party during Governor Larry Hogan’s successful reelection. In 2018, Wosewick returned to Pennsylvania to serve as finance director and advisor to Speaker of the House Mike Turzai during his successful effort to return 110 Republican members to the State House.

Wosewick will take over the duties of outgoing executive director, attorney Mike Stoll, who Tabas credited with being “extremely professional and highly dedicated,” and noted that Stoll’s tenure is marked with significant accomplishments such as record-setting voter contact, and maintaining Republican majorities in the state legislature.

“Mike has been a dedicated Republican for more than two decades. He was putting up yard signs before he could vote, and has helped elect Republican candidates from the Court House to the White House,” said Tabas.

According to Tabas, Wosewick will assume the role of executive director immediately, and Stoll is available to remain through September to assist with a thorough transition.

“I’m truly honored that Chairman Tabas has selected me to assist him in his mission to build a strong, winning party through great unity and strong fundraising.” said Wosewick. “I take his mission to heart, as he does, and I’m ready to go to work.”
