PAGOP APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF ENGAGEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT

Harrisburg, PA – PAGOP Chairman, Lawrence Tabas, today appointed Calvin R. Tucker, of Philadelphia, Director of Engagement and Advancement for the state party.

“I’ve known Calvin for many years, and no one has been more committed to Republican values,” said Tabas. “He will be an outstanding voice as we reinforce the unity and strength on which our party was founded.”

According to Tabas, Tucker will engage with leaders and communities across the state to promote the advancement of a strong, sweeping and united Pennsylvania Republican Party.

In 2016, Tucker served as a media surrogate and African American Advisor to then Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump. He is a Republican State Committeeman and was a 2012 and 2016 Delegate to the Republican National Convention.

“For too long, we have allowed Democrats to label and divide us as Americans, said Tucker. “Nothing will give me more pleasure than to peel away those labels, welcome individuals of every color and creed to the Pennsylvania Republican party and help them become truly empowered.”

Tucker and his wife Sharon have three adult children and live in Philadelphia.
