Joyce C. Haas, Vice-Chairman

Vice-Chairman HaasJoyce Haas is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with degrees in English and Speech Communications. She has taught English and Speech at both high school and university levels. Joyce has been active in politics since writing a masters thesis in the 1970’s outlining the speaking role that the Vice President plays in the national administration.

Joyce Haas has worked state wide on campaign on campaigns for George H.W. Bush, Senator Rick Santorum, Attorney General Mike Fisher, George W. Bush, Senator Arlen Specter, and many others during her years on the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania.

Joyce has been a member of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania since 1986 and has served as Co-chairman of the Central Pennsylvania Caucus since 1990. She has represented Pennsylvania at four Republican National Conventions serving on the Bi-Laws Committee, the Platform Committee and co-chairman for Pennsylvania as they hosted the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia.

Joyce retired from U.S. Airways as a Customer Service Agent. She became a Product Specialist for the Ford Motor Company and has traveled the country with Ford during the past four years at the international auto shows.

Joyce resides in State College with her architect husband, John C. Haas. Joyce and John volunteer together in many community activities such as the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County and The Centre County United Way.
