Press Release

HARRISBURG –Republican Party of Pennsylvania Chairman Rob Gleason released the following statement regarding the 2010 U.S. Senate race:

“We are blessed to have a number of highly qualified and experienced candidates interested in running for office in the 2010 U.S. Senate race.  We remain confident that we will nominate a qualified candidate who will defeat the Democrat nominee in November of 2010.  While Gov. Tom Ridge has made the decision not to pursue the race for U.S. Senate, he is committed to helping our nominee be successful in this important election.  We are very thankful for his long career of public service and support to our Party.

“We continue to be focused on the critically important 2009 statewide judicial races and are committed to delivering victories for our endorsed judicial candidates in the Primary and General Elections.”
