"Act Like a Lady"

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Vice Chair Joyce Haas
PA GOP

Dear Supporter,

"Act like a lady."

That's what Senator Arlen Specter suggested to Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota during a heated exchange on talk radio last week. And it's just the latest example of the arrogance that emanates from the inner Democratic circle these days. You would think that their attitude would have changed after their party's devastating loss in Massachusetts last week.

Specter, who deserted the Republican Party last year to push through the Obama Administration's big government agenda, is up for election this year and every day he is giving the people of Pennsylvania a new reason to put him into retirement.

That's why I'm reaching out to you. Senator Specter has turned his back on the needs of his constituents in exchange for a comfortable seat in the Democrats' inner circle. He no longer speaks for the people of Pennsylvania, but for the special interests that run the far left. And that's why we must drive him out of the U.S. Senate.

Will you follow this link and make a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more to the Pennsylvania Republican Party today? Any amount you can give will help us send a Republican to the U.S. Senate next fall and break down the Democrats' strangle-hold on the legislative process.

"I'll stop and you can talk," Specter told Bachman who was defending her vote against one of the far left's government takeovers. "I'll treat you like a lady. Now act like one."

Women and men alike should be infuriated by this statement. Specter's arrogance shows just how out of touch he has grown and proves that he is not fit to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.

Now let's stop him and make our statement.

Pennsylvanians deserve a Senator who'll fight for our values and bring respect to our state - not a Senator whose ego makes Pennsylvania the laughing stock of the evening news.

And that's just one of many reasons why we must vote Specter out of office in November. Can I count on you to help us? Please follow this link to give generously to the Pennsylvania Republican Party today.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Joyce Haas, Vice Chair
Republican Party of Pennsylvania

P.S.  Last week, Senator Arlen Specter told Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann to "act like a lady." This arrogant comment proves how out of touch with reality and embedded within the Democratic inner circle Specter has become. It's time to kick him out of office and replace him with a Senator who'll represent our values and not embarrass our state. Please follow this link to make a generous contribution to the Pennsylvania Republican Party today. Thank you.
