Gubernatorial Race Update

Over the past couple of weeks, Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett has been hard at work on the campaign trail, traveling to every corner of Pennsylvania.  He has been focusing on the issues important to Pennsylvanians like creating jobs, energy production and agriculture. Corbett has maintained a solid lead over his opponent, Dan “Dan The Tax Man” Onorato.

U.S. Senate Race Update

Republican U.S. Senate nominee Pat Toomey continues to work incredibly hard getting around the state meeting voters. Toomey posted large fundraising numbers in July, raising more than $1.1 million more than his opponent Joe “SaysTax” Sestak and currently holds a 7% lead over the Democrat in a recent Rasmussen poll.

Congressional Campaign Update

The races for US Congress within Pennsylvania will have national implications as the PA GOP stands ready to Punt Pelosi. Republican Congressional candidate Mike Kelly (PA-3) has his campaign in full gear and this week he pressured his opponent Kathy Dahlkemper to return funds she received from the ethically-challenged Charlie Rangel.

The PA GOP also called on a host of Pennsylvania Democratic Congressmen, including Joe Sestak, Patrick Murphy, Jason Altmire, Chris Carney, Paul Kanjorski, Kathy Dahlkemper and Tim Holden, Mark Critz, Allyson Schwartz, Mike Doyle, Chaka Fattah, and Bob Brady to call for Rangel’s resignation in the wake of his ethics issues. In other news, Republican Congressman Charlie Dent (PA-15) and Mayor Lou Barletta (PA-11) recently raised funds at events featuring former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

State House Update

Campaigns for the Pennsylvania State House are especially important as Republicans stand poised to regain majority control of the State House. Issues including job creation, transportation funding, spending, energy taxes and countless other pressing issues have been debated by candidates seeking office for both the state Senate and state House this year.
