STATEMENT: National Democratic Redistricting PAC donation to Wolf shows governor’s true allegiances

Harrisburg, Pa. — At the end of March, the National Democratic Redistricting PAC donated $250,000 to Tom Wolf’s reelection campaign just days after federal courts refused to issue stay requests in ongoing redistricting litigation and right before the governor outlined campaign finance reform measures to “curb special interests.”

The National Democratic Redistricting PAC is a national liberal special interest group dedicated to ensuring a Democratic majority through the redistricting process. It is chaired by rumored 2020 Presidential candidate and former Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder and is run by Democratic operative and Nancy Pelosi confidant Kelly Ward.

“By accepting this PAC donation, the most liberal governor in America has shown his allegiances lie not with Pennsylvania’s constitutional processes and the rule of law, but with national Democrat special interests seeking to take control over the redistricting process by any means necessary,” said Pennsylvania Republican Party Chairman Val DiGiorgio.

“His acceptance of this money is proof positive of the governor’s collusion with those who would seek to undermine the rule of law and the constitution and ultimately draw seats favorable to the Democrats.”
