PA GOP Chairman’s Update – April 7, 2019

Dear supporters, friends, and those interested in the Republican Party of Pennsylvania:

This weekend was the annual Pennsylvania Leadership Conference, a gathering of grassroots conservative leaders and conservative organizations from across Pennsylvania.

I was pleased to attend this year’s event and attend the annual Friday night dinner with keynote speaker Kimberly Strassel.

Events like the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference are important to the Republican cause. Now more than ever we must be energized, united, and dedicated to the mission of liberty as liberals across Pennsylvania and across the United States seek to implement a radical agenda that would change the fabric of our government and society.

I was also pleased to see Superior Court candidates Judge Christylee Peck and Deputy District Attorney Megan McCarthy King address the PLC crowd Saturday morning.

Both candidates are committed to the rule of law, applying the law as written, and ensuring fairness and justice in our legal system without the influence of ideology and politics.

I am sure that is why they overwhelmingly won the 2019 PLC Straw Poll.

I’d also like to draw your attention to an event I am participating in this coming Tuesday at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster on civil discourse in politics. As I have long said, we need to be truthful, policy-based, but also aggressive in our political discourse.

I am looking forward to having this conversation this coming week.
