TABAS APPOINTS PAGOP COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Harrisburg, PA – Newly elected PAGOP Chairman, Lawrence Tabas, today announced the appointment of attorney Denise Dieter, of Lycoming County, who will serve as compliance officer for the state party.

“Every organization has an obligation to provide a safe, respectful environment and culture,” said Tabas. “It’s an obligation the PAGOP will take to heart.”

Dieter has been practicing law since 1993 and has previously advised on compliance issues for clients across industries including municipal authorities, and numerous fire departments and law enforcement agencies. She was appointed by Senator Toomey in 2011 to serve on the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission and in 2016 served as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission Investigative Panel. Dieter has also served as solicitor to the Lycoming County Republican Committee since 2009 and worked for the GOP as an Election Day Attorney during the 2016 Presidential Election.

According to Tabas, going forward, Dieter will be tasked with enforcement of legal and ethical policies and procedures in accordance with the PAGOP code of conduct, as well as federal, state and local laws.

“Denise is a very highly regarded, experienced attorney,” said Tabas. “I have absolute confidence in her ability to expertly communicate expectations and the legal requirements, and to hear and resolve issues with appropriate compassion and respect.”
